I’m not happy with my start group. What do I do?
The seeding is based on our seeding rules. All runners have the possibility to provide us with results from marathons (faster than 3:55:16h) and half marathons (faster than 1:46:00h) in order to be placed in a better start group. The deadline for this is April 8th 2019.
Is it possible to change a runner’s name?
Transference of registration is only allowed for Göteborgsvarvet Half Marathon 2019 and Göteborgsvarvet Marathon 2021. Last day to transfer a registration to Göteborgsvarvet 2019 is May 12th.
Information about name changes
It is possible to transfer your registration and starting place in Göteborgsvarvet Half Marathon 2019 to another runner, for a fee of two hundred and fifty (250) SEK paid to us. It is not allowed to transfer your registration to someone else or to let someone else run in your place, without paying the transfer fee and reporting the transfer on our web page.
Please note that the buyer does not take over the seller’s start group. If the transfer is made before April 7th 2019 the buyer is placed in a start group following the ordinary seeding rules. If the transfer is made after April 8th 2019 the buyer will be placed in the start group following the seeding rules, as far as space allows, in other cases in the first following group with a free space.
How it works:
1. Sell your starting place
The seller finds the buyer by themselves. Make sure to take note of the buyer’s e-mail address. This information is needed to proceed with the transfer.
Thereafter, the seller needs to log in to his/her account. Press “Show all registrations”, and then “Göteborgsvarvet Half Marathon 2019”. Press “Transfer” and follow the instructions.
2. A value code is sent to the buyer
When the seller has provided the needed information (buyer’s e-mail address), a value code is sent to the buyer. The seller also gets a confirmation e-mail.
3. The buyer registers for the race
The buyer registers for the race and enters the value code at the end, which changes the entry fee to the the transfer fee of two hundred and fifty (250) SEK. The transfer is now complete and the buyer gets a confirmation e-mail. The seller is no longer registered for the race.
Is public transport free during Göteborgsvarvet?
Please use public transportation – it’s free for registered runners May 16th, 17th and 18th! Your race bib or confirmation of registration can be used as a valid ticket on all public transport within the Gothenburg area, as well as on the local train networks between Alingsås-Gothenburg, Ale-Gothenburg and Kungsbacka-Gothenburg. The closest tram and bus stop to the start and finish area is Marklandsgatan. If you are staying close by, it’s easier to walk or ride a bike.
