Run for charity:Ågrenska

Running for Ågrenska means that you are running for a sibling who has a brother or sister with a rare diagnosis or disability.

As a sibling of a child with disabilities it’s only natural that you might end up on the side benches. Parents often feel that they aren’t enough. Every year, Ågrenska hosts a sibling camp where the siblings get to feel a sense of community and an opportunity to exchange experiences with others in similar situations. The siblings are at the center of attention and are given tools to better understand and deal with their situation. Ågrenska is a non-profit organization and is owned by the Ågrenska Foundation.

Run for charity:Ronald McDonald House

Run for Ronald McDonald House Gothenburg and you run for families whose children have suffered from a serious illness.

At Ronald McDonald House in Gothenburg, families whose children have suffered from a serious illness live. These families often come a long way from Gothenburg and have been referred to Drottning Silvia’s Children & Youth Hospital so that the children can receive the right specialist care. During tough and often long treatment periods, the families are offered accommodation and a fairly normal everyday life with us at Ronald McDonald House Gothenburg – it’s a “Home away from Home” when it’s needed the most.

Run for charity:Diabeteskampen

Run for Diabeteskampen! Diabetes is a disease that almost half a million Swedes suffer from, and which cannot be cured.

Physical activity is important for everyone, but for those with diabetes or a predisposition to get diabetes, it’s an extra important element in their lives. Regular exercise provides a more even blood sugar level and a positive effect on blood fats and blood pressure. It also helps prevent future diabetic complications.

By running for the fight against diabetes, we draw attention to the positive effects of physical activity while at the same time raising money for diabetes research.

Thanks to advances in research it’s now possible to live a good life with diabetes, but we don’t want to settle for that. We work for a healthy life with diabetes and a future in which the disease doesn’t exist.
