There will be a large amount of people out and about during the Göteborgsvarvet week. Remember to allow yourself plenty of time when you go to pick up your race bib and as you make your way to the start area! If possible we recommend that you bike or take public transportation.
ÅF and Göteborgsvarvet are offering everyone the opportunity to take public transport for free on 17, 18 and 19 May in Gothenburg municipality including the commuter train to and from Alingsås, Ale and Kungsbacka. Show your race bib or start confirmation as your ticket.
The public transportation system is even putting in extra reinforcement on 19 May. You may find the timetable at www.vasttrafik.se/en. You can also plan your route in Västtrafik’s app called Reseplaneraren. Trams and busses go to Korsvägen (Göteborgsvarvet Expo) and to Marklandsgatan, Botaniska Trädgården and Linnéplatsen (near the start and finish).
Runners in the Göteborgsvarvet should pick up their race bib at the Göteborgsvarvet Expo, The Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre (Svenska Mässan-map). The expo opens on Thursday 17 May so pick up your race bib already on Thursday or Friday the week of the race, if possible.

Göteborgsvarvet compensates for carbon emissions for the parking during Göteborgsvarvet. The money for the parking fees go to Zeromission’s power supply in Indonesia where they are going to renovate and ineffective water power plant in order to increase the capacity with more than 1100%.
