Stafettvarvet on May 19, 2027, offers a magical and exciting atmosphere both before, during, and after the race. Stafettvarvet´s course is 3,2 kilometers long and all participants in the team run the same track. Start, finish and baton change take place inside Slottsskogsvallen. The course runs through the beautiful Slottsskogen before it turns back into our entrance park before Slottsskogsvallen, this is where your teammates by the corporate village will cheer and scream to make you last all the way across the finish line.

After the finish, you will of course celebrate! Settle down and enjoy your performance and the delicious picnic that is included in your registration. 

Please note that you are registering the number of teams (not the individual team members). Each team consists of 4 members. Only one team captain is registered per team.

Start, finish & exchange

Orient yourself easily in the arena! 
Pick-up of relay baton, race bib and picnic bag takes place outside Slottsskogsvallen in the Entrance Park.

Start, relay exchange and finish all take place inside Slottsskogsvallen. The baton is handed over across the relay fence to the next runner in your team. To make it easier, the fence is divided into zones based on start numbers – find the zone that matches your team’s start number. Information about start waves can be found further down the page.

Start Waves

The start is at 6 PM and follows a “buddy seeding” system. This means that those who plan to run faster position themselves at the front. Volunteers will guide runners at the start.

Entrance to the start area for Runner 1 and 2 (Green and Purple) is open from 5 PM tom 6 PM.

Entrance for Runner 3 and 4 (Blue and Yellow) will open around 18:10 (once all runners have started).

The colored race bibs make it easier for both runners and officials to ensure that participants are in the correct place when entering the start area.

Do something fun and healthy together!:Run with your company

Stafettvarvet has grown bigger and more popular year after year to become a real success for companies. Companies gather colleagues and customers to mingle and run together. The tent village is also a popular element and many companies choose to gather around their tent for pep rally before the race and to enjoy a well deserved after run with the team after the race. Register one or many teams from your company and pay with invoice.

Corporate booking is open until April 30 (subject to availability if the race sells out earlier).

Stafettvarvet's Corporate Village:Book a tent package

In the entrance park outside Slottsskogsvallen, near the start and finish area of the Stafettvarvet, you have the opportunity to book a tent in one of our corporate villages. Gather your runners before, during, and after the race to cheer each other on from the front row and enjoy a well-deserved post-run celebration with your team after the race.

Please note that it is not permitted to set up your own tent in the event area.

Each team registration includes a picnic bag for you to enjoy together after crossing the finish line.

Take a seat and enjoy a cozy picnic with colleagues and friends. This year’s delicious picnic is provided by Carotte and includes:

Race info:Good to know before the start

  • Registration

    Registration is open until 5 pm on the day of the race, with reservation that the race may be sold out earlier. All registrations are done via the website.

  • Food Package

    One picnic bag per team is included when registering for the relay race Stafettvarvet. The bag is picked up in Entréparken where the number tags and baton are distributed before the start of the race, between 15:30-17:30. Food is also sold in the event area. The picnic is perfect to enjoy outside the arena area after the race.

  • Start certificate, Number bib & Bib distribution

    The start certificate will be sent 1 week before the race to the email address provided when registering. In the Start certificate you will find all the information you need ahead of the event. News and other good-to-know information can be found here on the website. You can collect your number tag at the Entréparken between 15:30-17:30. Be there well in advance and don’t forget your Start certificate!

  • The Team

    Gather a group of 4 people and sign up for one of these events: women’s, men’s or mixed (where at least one participant is of the opposite sex). In the registration, you only register the team leader's contact information. Each team member will run 3,2 km and timekeeping is individual as well as combined for the whole team. We recommend that all participants are at least 15 years of age. If someone from the team falls ill one team member may run two sections. The main thing is that the team will run all four sections.

  • Start & Event area

    The start and finish line are in Slottsskogsvallen. The first start wave begins at 18:00. See details further up on the page. The race begins at 18:00. In the event area, as well as throughout the track, entertainment of various sort is available.

  • Changing clothes, Bag drop & Toilets

    We recommend that you change before you get here as showers/changing rooms are not provided. The organizer does not offer bag drop. Toilets are mainly located near Slottsskogsvallen, with a few also available at the Dalens Idrottsplan.

  • Timekeeping & Baton

    Timekeeping begins when the first runner crosses the start line. There’s a chip inside the baton and the time stops when the last runner crosses the finish line. The baton changes hands according to instructions. Times are measured both per team member/lap and total for the whole team. Remember to be careful during the exchange. Keep the baton at hip height when passing the timekeeping mat, to ensure correct timekeeping! It’s important that the team starts in the correct start group according to the Start certificate.

  • Getting here & Parking

    Use public transport if possible. The nearest stops are Botaniska trädgården, Marklandsgatan and Linnéplatsen. Use the app Västtrafik ToGo or visit vasttrafik.se to find your route. We do not provide parking near the event area.

    If you still choose to drive, you should expect traffic congestion and very limited parking availability.

  • Warmup

    Group warmup exercises are available at the start and will be led by instructors from STC.

  • Time limit

    The finish line closes at 8:00 PM. 

  • Award cermony

    Award ceremony for the fastest team in each class (women, men and mix) and a masquerade prize will be awarded inside Slottsskogsvallen.

  • Customer service

    Customer service will be open in the Entrépark from 3 PM.
