Transfer an entry
Below you'll find information on how to transfer your race entry. This means that you are responsible for finding the person who will take over your entry.

A registration for Göteborgsvarvet is binding and the registration fee paid is not refunded, but you have the possibility to transfer your entry to another runner who wants to participate instead.
The last day to transfer an entry is seven days before the date of the race, a transfer is therefore possible until May 15 at 11:59 PM.
Please note that the buyer does NOT inherit the seller’s start position (start wave) or any additional options the seller may have selected. The buyer will be placed in a start wave based on their own profile and any previous race results according to our seeding rules.
A transfer can be made for a fee of 300 SEK, which the buyer pays to Göteborgsvarvet. The cost is paid by the person taking over the entry.
Please note that it is not allowed to run in someone else's registration without making a transfer.
We want to warn about fraud in connection with the transfer of race entries.
Information for those looking to take over a race entry:
If you are unsure whether the seller has a valid entry, ask for the booking number + first and last name on the registration and send an email to info@goteborgsvarvet.se, and we will verify it for you.
If the seller claims to be "John Smith", the race entry should also be registered in the name "John Smith", and any payment you make (typically via Swish in Sweden) should be sent to "John Smith". If these details do not match, there is a risk that it may be a fraudulent transaction. Please be cautious and verify the information before making any payment.
If you do not know the person transferring the race entry to you, we recommend using the official waiting list instead.
Follow the instructions below to transfer your race entry to another runner:
1. Find a person who is interested in buying your start ticket.
2. Go to "My registration"
3. Enter your details to log in
4. Scroll down to "TRANSFER MY REGISTRATION".
5. Enter the email address of the person you want to transfer your race entry to.
6. Click on "Transfer my registration"
7. An email will be sent to the person you transferred the entry to.
8. The person whose email address you have entered will receive an email with instructions on how to register for Göteborgsvarvet. In the final step of the registration, they will pay a fee of SEK 300.
If you want to transfer the Göteborgsvarvet entry for free or sell it, that is entirely up to you; it is something you and the new runner agree upon (the fee of 300 SEK paid to Göteborgsvarvet always applies).
Entry transfers are only available for Göteborgsvarvet, not for any other races.
Corporate entries cannot be transferred.
