Göteborgsvarvet completely sold out – charity entries gone in just 10 minutes
The interest in Göteborgsvarvet 2026 continues to break records. After the regular entries sold out at record speed already in September, the organizers announced that a limited number of additional charity entries would be released in October. This morning, registration opened – and just ten minutes later, those entries were also sold out.
The extra entries were reserved for runners wishing to participate in support of charitable causes. The partner organizations are Ung Cancer, Suicide Zero, and Göteborgs Stadsmission.
- The interest has been absolutely incredible. It shows both the strong commitment to Göteborgsvarvet and the desire to make a difference through running. In just ten minutes, more than one million SEK has been raised for our charity partners. In addition, every entry also contributes to local children’s and youth sports. That truly warms my heart, says Eva-Lena Frick, Secretary General of the Gothenburg Athletics Federation.
With all charity entries now sold out, Göteborgsvarvet 2026 is officially fully booked. Next year’s race will bring together 55,000 runners and is expected to once again be the world’s largest half marathon.
