Last year’s race delivered a dramatic finish, with Hassan managing to outkick Moen right at the finish line after an intense battle over the entire 21.1-kilometre course. This year’s edition therefore carries extra prestige, as Moen seeks revenge and Hassan aims to prove his victory was no fluke.
Both runners have shown impressive form ahead of this year’s race, and the organisers expect hundreds of thousands of spectators to follow their contest, both along the course and via live broadcast.
