Address: Campus Risbergska, 703 46 Örebro

Starting permit and bib number: You will receive your starting permit via email a few days before the race. The bib number can be collected at the race center on race day, between 09:00-10:30. We recommend that you collect your bib number and safety pins well in advance of the start.

Important! Bring your starting permit to collect your bib number.

Shower & changing & toilet: Toilets are available in the area. Please come dressed, limited shower and changing facilities.

Baggage storage: We offer free storage for your bag and valuables during the race. The storage area is staffed, but we still want to draw your attention to the fact that you leave your belongings at your own risk.

Warm-up: A group warm-up session will be provided at the start led by instructors from STC.

Food & drink: A small café is available on site.

Water stations: Water stations are available at 5 km and at the finish line.

Timing: Timing is done with net time. We use an automatic timing system where all runners have a chip attached to their bib number. The official time is the net time from the start line to the finish line, so you don't need to jostle for a good position at the start.

Seeding/Starting group: Varvetmilen uses "friend seeding." This means that all runners help each other to give the best conditions for the entire field to have a smooth journey from start to finish. You decide for yourself where in the starting field you should start. If you want to take it easy, stand a bit further back; if you belong to the faster part of the starting field, position yourself towards the front.

Course: The course is measured by a certified federation course measurer according to the rules established by Swedish Athletics.

Track Map: Google maps Varvetmilen Örebro and Gpx file.

After the race: All finishers receive a medal and a finisher t-shirt. Fluids are also available at the finish line.

Prizes: Prizes for places 1-3 in the women's and men's classes, award ceremony around 11:45 AM.

Results: You can view your results directly after the race here. If you have a registration for Göteborgsvarvet 2024, you will automatically be seeded with your result from Varvetmilen (or other, better, seeding-qualifying results)

  • Which starting group you'll be placed in: Seeding Rules

In Göteborgsvarvet, participants start in a large number of starting groups. The criteria determining which starting group a runner ends up in are described in the seeding rules.

With a result in the Varvetmilen, you are automatically seeded to a better starting group in the Göteborgsvarvet 2024 than if you are unseeded, no additional registration is required. You can already see which preliminary starting group a certain result qualifies you for.

If you have multiple seeding-qualifying results, it is always the best result you will be seeded with.

  • Activate the family: Minivarvet on the Varvetmilen Tour

In 2024, Minivarvet joins the Varvetmilen tour. At all destinations, the 210-meter-long race is arranged for children aged 0-6 years, simultaneously with Varvetmilen. Registration for Minivarvet takes place on-site for 80 SEK, and as usual, all mini-sprinters receive a well-deserved medal upon crossing the finish line and can run as many times as their legs can handle during the opening hours.
